At Veritas Home Health, our physical therapists are dedicated to helping clients maintain, restore, or improve movement to promote active lifestyles and long-term quality of life. Our therapists help clients improve mobility to perform daily activities, help clients manage or eliminate pain that interferes with movement, and teach clients how to manage conditions or illnesses to prevent functional decline.
Occupational Therapy Occupational Therapists are licensed experts in helping people participate in the everyday activities they want and need to do in order to live as independently as possible. Our occupational therapists promote independent living by helping clients recover from injury to restore skills, providing supports for clients having physical and/or cognitive (memory) changes, recommending home modifications and equipment, and focusing on adapting the environment to fit individual needs.
Speech Therapy Speech Language Pathologists are licensed experts in the prevention, improvement, and management of communication and swallowing disorders. At Veritas, our speech language pathologists help clients achieve effective communication by addressing and improving sound production, resonance, voice, fluency, language comprehension, and language expression. They teach clients with cognitive and memory disorders (such as Alzheimer’s disease) and their caregivers techniques to improve communication and understanding. Additionally, our highly trained speech language pathologists make recommendations for appropriate changes in diet & food consistency to prevent or address problems such as choking, coughing, and aspiration when eating/drinking.
