04/01/2011 2011 PPS Final Rule Face-to-FaceUnder the final rule, patients' face-to-face visits with physicians that occur within 90 days of the home health admission will count toward the requirement. If a visit didn't occur before the home health start of care, patients then have 30 days to have a face-to-face physician encounter, the final rule states.
